With great pride Seiko Instruments presented this year its new ColorPainter M-64s, nicknamed “The Beauty”, at FESPA in London. With 8 sold printers it already became a bestseller during the first exhibition day. Up to the end of the exhibition Seiko Instruments was able to book more than 60 orders in total, says the company. This result is not only explainable by its print quality for example printed at PVC by using a print speed of 33,1 qm/h. More than 100 innovations and improvements which are implemented in this new printer platform are responsible for covering a widest application range of outdoor signage and indoor graphics market. With its guaranteed UV stability of 3 years and more the new low solvent SX ink can cover the full range of outdoor signage market. As the new ink is almost odorless and by using the new innovations most filigree smooth color gradient an excellent quality can be printed, the range of most different very complex indoor applications is covered as well. Especially mentionable for backlight applications is the brilliant color print with the full hiding power of the ink while all print details are conserved at the same time. The professional take-up and winding system for rolls up to 50 kg makes an unrestricted use for roll-to-roll banner applications up to a speed of 66.5 qm/h possible. The heavy rolls can be handled easily by using the especially developed integrated media lifter. The printer will be delivered with an ONYX RIP Center SIIT edition software and is available from mid of September 2013.
