Antalis: New dynamic signage solutions Cotep

Antalis, a leading European distributor of paper, packaging solutions and visual communications products, will take advantage of its presence at FESPA 2013 to exhibit the latest inspirational addition to its sign and display range: Cotep. The Cotep family of dynamic signage solutions comprised of indoor and outdoor touch screens, software, support structures as well as implementation and on-site maintenance, will allow Antalis customers to take advantage of the growing trend towards electronic signage, while accentuating the impact of their traditional printed signage. “Staying on top of and adapting to market developments is part of Antalis’ DNA”, says François Lainé, business development director, Antalis International. “Dynamic signage is growing in popularity and has a complementary role to play to printed signage. We want to give our sign and display customers the broadest choice possible in how they communicate with their end-users, hence our decision to distribute the Cotep system.” Printed signage is primarily used for in-store advertising and fulfills an essential informative role that generally aims to sell a product or service. Dynamic signage, on the other hand, usually displays more interactive, real-time content, not evidently related to a specific product or service yet which aims to provoke a purchasing act or certain behavior. Both media have the same ultimate goal yet act in different ways. “A sports store, for example, will use a printed POS to promote the latest running shoe of a leading brand and may in parallel have a dynamic screen with weather updates and information on upcoming races. Both have the final objective of convincing the customer to buy the new runners,” explains François Lainé. “Antalis is now in a unique position to act as a one-stop-shop supplier, able to provide all the materials needed to create a complete visual communication infrastructure. This is an exciting new opportunity for us to develop our business in this sector.” The Cotep range of screens, software and support structures is available both indirectly via Antalis’ existing sign & display printer customers, and directly to large end-users such as universities. The potential market segments interested in such a comprehensive signage offering are vast and include corporate, education, hospitality, the transportation industry, convention centres, shopping centres and outlets, and public administrations. Cotep hardware and software have been designed in-house by a European company with over 30 years of experience in digital signage, particularly with airports and railway stations as end-users.
