swissQprint: How the basic platform can be extended

At FESPA 2013, swissQprint, manufacturer of high-end inkjet systems, will be showcasing how the basic platform can be extended: there will be two machines on the stand, one configured for versatility, the other for roll to roll printing. This is the first time that the company is presenting a pair of machines simultaneously. Embodying versatility is Impala, the crowd favorite. swissQprint has a variety of enhancements to offer here: for example, there is a new tandem function that eliminates idle times by printing alternately on the front and back areas of the printing table. There are also nine color channels, each separately configurable, along with other features. Nyala too has some further trumps up its sleeve. For example, swissQprint has upped the mechanical strength of the roll to roll option for this 3.2 m wide machine, because robust construction is crucial to reliable, flawless printing of broad media. Another secret is the Swiss engineering inside the controller. The Nyala at the exhibition will have print heads loaded with quadruple CMYK, for unprecedented printing speeds. The machine will also be equipped with a board option that features a sophisticated feed system for printing outsize formats (up to 3.2 x 4 m) in flatbed mode – a truly compelling feature.
