Sihl: Sublime Transfers – Diversity with digital dye sublimation

The new SIHL SUBLICOLOR materials, for all standard dye-sublimation printers stand out thanks to their outstanding performance. Optimal for the dye sublimation onto white polyester or polyester-mixed materials as well as polyester varnished hard substrates, the product family introduced by Sihl will speed up the market penetration of this relatively new, modern technology. The quality of the existing nine Sihl printing papers stand in the front row: they are perfectly optimized for the thermal sublimation process – they offer optimal print quality with very clear defined contours and a wide color gamut. Due to the pigmented, porous Sihl coating on a special base paper, the products are particularly efficient. The clear trend of reduced surface weights, whereby the paper is just the temporary carrier of the design: here less is more. Hence the reason that Sihl place great emphasis on not letting the lower weights affect the performance during heavy handling. During the transfer performance they become even more interesting, their reduced thickness leads to better heating and quicker transfer rates. This allows the higher transfer speeds, which in turn shortens the flowline times. In addition to this users also save on transport costs thanks to the reduced weights of the SIHL SUBLICOLOR medias: enabling longer roll lengths on while retaining the same roll weight, which leads to rolls not needing to be replaced as often during printing, higher productivity as well as less waste. And best of all these papers are compatible with all standard digital dye sublimation inks. The current nine SIHL SUBLICOLOR papers are divided into four categories: Premium, Universal, Sport and Superdry. (Copyright of the Image: iStockphoto – Stocknroll)
